Eleftherios Giovanis studied Economics at the University of Thessaly with scholarship. He completed the MSc in Applied Economics and Finance at the University of Macedonia, Greece and a second MSc in Quality Assurance at the Hellenic Open University in Patra, Greece in 2009 with scholarship. He worked as Statistician and Econometrician analyst in marketing research companies over the period 2005-2009. In April of 2015, he completed his PhD in Economics at Royal Holloway University of London with scholarship. In 2013–2014, he worked as A Post-Doc researcher at IMT Institute of Advanced Studies in Lucca, Italy, and he was awarded with a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Research Individual Fellowship at the University of Verona. In 2017 he worked as an Assistant Professor of Economics at Adnan Menderes University, Nazilli Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences. Currently, he is Senior Lecturer of Economics at Manchester Metropolitan University, Department of Economics, Policy and International Business.
